You don’t want to worry about anything on your big day – and that includes making sure your shooters are prepared so you can have peace of mind when it arrives. Ahead of your wedding we help with:
- Timelines: Help with timelines from the start to plan the time you need.
- Family Photo List: Don’t miss anyone, with a shot list planned well in advance
- Location Knowledge: Find out what spots resonate, with suggestions – our shooters will scout as needed
- Shooter Work Briefs: Peace of mind for you, with a super well prepared team.
- Shooter Meet & Greet: Get comfortable with your shooters, before your big day, even without an engagement shoot, to make your shoot easier.

Our clients want portraits that are candid, real, and genuine. To capture that well takes a LOT of shots, experience, and skill.
Our clients also want to be able to choose their favourite one to put on their wall – rather than the one that their photographer liked best. What we like might not be what you like!
So we deliver a LOT of pictures where it matters most…and cut back where it doesn’t.
And then we train you on how to use your galleries to make the most of them.
As your wedding day passes, you may want prints, albums, or other things with your wedding images. Or you might be blessed with a growing family! We have the team, knowledge, and experience to make getting those things easy and fun.

Our shooters range in experience from 5 to 20 years in weddings. Having more of us allows us to have backups, offer two different price points, and a wider range of services.
We happened to stumble on some amazing humans!
This is Jean-Marc. He’s the co-founder and co-owner of Studio Lumen, and has been shooting weddings since 2006. Jean-Marc loves outdoor adventures, reading fiction (in particular sci-fi, fantasy, and detective novels), spending time with his wife and 2 kids, and running both on the road and on the trail. Jean-Marc can relate to anyone, and this particular superpower is what makes him so great to work with. As a former engineer, he likes spreadsheets a lot – so if you do not, don’t ask him about them. 😉
This is Jeff. Our resident ‘Star’ show guy – he will watch any show with the word ‘Star’ in the title. Jeff does a lot of our headshots as well, and from the sounds of it our clients love working with him even for a simple business portrait. Jeff loves to laugh and joke around – and is in general a very jovial guy to have around. This is one of the reasons our clients love working with him – besides his talent. He’s been a wedding photographer for Since about 2019, and a professional shooter since 2006.
This is Kylie. She’s our dog-lover, who’s adaptable, and fun, pretty much at all times. Kylie loves loves loves working with kids. She’s got 4 of them, and that’s how she got into photography. Kylie has been a wedding photographer since at least 2022, and a professional shooter from about 2012. She also does a lot of our family, newborn, and maternity shoots. Perhaps all this working with kids has given her her exceptional patience, understanding of, and joy at working with humans – which is something our clients like about working with her.

Two Shooters
The benefits of two shooters far outweigh the cost! Included for any wedding with guests.
Fully Custom Timelines
We work with you to make sure that you get the day (and images) you want, well in advance.

Online Proofing Galleries
Going through your many high res files to decide which images you want to use is hard. So we provide, and train you on, online proofing galleries to sort and use your pictures for prints, albums, online galleries, thank you cards, etc. etc.
High Resolution Files
All your files (300-500 Per hour) in full resolution are included, with no added cost. You are free to do what you like with your files (besides sell them).
On the other hand, we can print and create albums for you! We can’t compete on price with DIY, so find out below why you might want to consider printing with us.
Starting Rates

4h: $2,060+tax

8h: $3,530+tax
Our plans are fully customized. Coverage between 4 and 8 hours, and greater than 8h, are calculated at $410/h in addition to each starting rate. Starting rates are for one of Jeff or Kylie. Additional rates to work with Jean-Marc will be presented with your custom plans.
We do have to pay our team a reasonable rate to travel. Anything within 20km and 20m from our studio is free. Outside of that, any travel costs will be included in your customized coverage, so that there are no surprises later on.
One OR Two Shooters
While we always recommend two, with a simpler event like an elopement, we can do these with one.
Fully Custom Timelines
For our elopement photos, at minimum we cover your ceremony and some portraits. We can arrive for getting ready, and stay for an extra shooting location. Coverage ranges from 2h to 4h.
Within that we work with you to make sure that you get the day (and photos) you want, well in advance.

Online Proofing Galleries
