Why 'Timelines' and not 'Packages'?
Simply put, providing ‘timelines’ rather than packages means we can build the photography you want right into your day, from the start.
Most newly engaged couples don’t know how long wedding photography takes! At Studio Lumen we do our best to make sure that our clients don’t have to worry about that. Click on this link to have a go at working out how long you’ll need.

As one of the more important elements of a wedding, your images should be built into your day from the beginning, by someone who knows how long they need.
Get This Important Element Out of the Way
When planning your big day, it is important to figure out the major components, like venue and photo/video, as soon as you can, to get the date you want. Recognizing this, we are trying to find a faster way to book us, while still ensuring happy clients!
Use a Pre-Set Timeline
With the years of experience we have in building custom timelines for each of our happy couples, we have put together some very common ones that ensure there is enough time for the photos and videos our future couples could want.
The timelines presented below assume a few things, which you can read about at the bottom of the page.
You will notice ‘Traditional’ and ‘Modern’ Timelines. Traditional means that all the couples, bridal party, and family photos are after the ceremony, while modern means that there is a ‘first look’, bride and groom, and bridal party photos before the ceremony. There are pros and cons to both of these, which you can read more about on our blog post here.
These timelines may be a starting point for you – we can adjust these to suit any situation, as long as it’s set up to capture the images you want!
If you are looking for less coverage, we also would love to have a chat to ensure that whatever custom timeline you end up with covers what you need.
- Includes 15m travel time between each location more or less
- Does not include travel outside of Calgary (20m and 30km from the Studio included). We pay our staff a fair wage and compensation for the use of their vehicles for weddings further than that.
- Specific times of set events (ceremony and reception) are guidelines – can be adjusted forwards or backwards
- Does not include an engagement shoot – but if your wedding is November to April inclusive one is included for free.
- Typically includes 300-400 images PER hour of coverage, in high res, ready to share online, with an online gallery that makes picking your favourites easier.
- Guaranteed turnaround time of 6-10 weeks depending on the selected option.
- Timelines are adjustable forwards or backwards to match a desired ceremony or reception time, or with extra reception coverage redistributed to getting ready coverage.
- Includes 30m for family photos (10-12 standard groupings)
- In Photo + Video packages, coverage times can differ between the two. Customization is possible!

South-Asian weddings are unique. We have shot many, and we love the way that everyone gets to know each other over the multiple days. There is no specific timeline for this, but we have found that 26 to 30h of coverage can be enough to capture a 4-day event.
