Devil’s in the Details
So many little things can make the difference between a good or great shot. We pay attention to them:
- Lint rollers for dust
- Hair placement and flyaways
- Help reduce shine with blotting paper provided
- Cleaning your glasses if needed
- etc.
Lots of Choice
On set we will look through the successful pictures together, to make sure there’s more than one you like. If you’re not happy, we can go back on set and try more!
Either way, you don’t have to make your final choice the day of. We send you a proofing gallery to pick your included shots (or more) on your own time, with any help you need.
Making scheduling your sessions a breeze
Our photography-specific shoot management software makes this easy for you. Our system allows you to pick the time for your headshot(s) easy, and allows us to easily handle the collection of preferred shots and their delivery to each individual.
Our group clients particularly appreciate this, so that they don’t have to coordinate all of their staff. Herding 25 cats can be hard!

This executive was starting up a new building development company with his two sons. They needed a combination of brand story video content and portraits to help them build their media library and promote their new venture.

A.I. VS OUR HEADSHOTS
A.I. seems like an attractive option price-wise. But is it truly saving you anything?
AI
You don’t have to interact with another human! But very DIY. You have to figure it out yourself, take your own sample shots.
Our Headshots
You do have to get in front of the camera – which while often uncomfortable, with us is often fun. And we will guide and help you every step of the way.
We know, being in front of a camera is awkward. If one can avoid awkward situations, one usually does. But fiddling with AI, taking the shots it needs, learning a new system, vs a professional who can take an amazing shot reliably, might not be that much easier. Plus we make it fun!
AI
Very cheap. But you may end up spending more time to get something that may or may not get you the results you need.
Our Headshots
Initially more expensive, but most likely more efficient.
The initial cost outlay of an A.I. headshot vs a professionally taken headshot is not comparable. Obviously it is cheaper. But where we can’t compete on price, we can compete on the rest of the categories in this table – professional guidance, posing, lighting, ease of use, and knowing what you’re going to get is helpful to achieve your goals and build trust with your target audience.

May seem faster at first but with trial and error could take just as long if not longer.
Our Headshots
Easy to book. Standard session is 30m. Once you pick your finals, turnaround time is one week.
Obviously an A.I. can output headshots faster than we can. But the total time to get something that may or may not work for your goals may not be that different. And depending on the tool, it may take you just as long to set up and get it going as one of our headshot sessions! And remember, our sessions are actually fun. Not sure how fun setting up an A.I. headshot is!
AI
By definition artificial.
Our Headshots
As genuine and authentic as you can get. We work hard to capture natural expressions that suit your many purposes, and include wide and tight crops, and 2 shots, to have options for those needs.
One of the major downsides of an A.I. headshot is right in its name: Artificial.
Your target market wants to know who you actually are, not a version that’s been made up by a computer. If your goal is to build trust with your audience, then sharing your true self is key.
AI
By definition untrustworthy. Your potential audience may be suspicious of you if they realize that your headshot is AI generated.
Our Headshots
Be proud to share your true personality and image with your target market and build the trust you need to get results.
The entire goal of headshots, and marketing in general, is for people to know, like, and trust you. Displaying a computer-generated version of yourself doesn’t do anything for that.
AI
Questionable if AI headshots will help you reach your goals. May be better than nothing, but could also backfire and be far worse.
