Capturing Motion & Emotion

With all the wonderful details that make your particular day unique come some amazing emotions, sounds, and movements – from the funny quips all morning to the heartfelt vows and the speeches and ensuing laughter and tears (of joy!). How do videos differ from your photos?

  • Those sounds can be recorded and used in your video.  Some memorable sound clips might be:
    • The bride/groom tearing up as they read their vows
    • The speakers hilarious (and moving) stories
    • The groomsmen or bridesmaids cracking jokes
    • Simply the voices of important people (e.g., parents and grandparents), captured for eternity and future generations.
  • While photos evoke the memory of motion, videos actually capture that motion. Example motions:
    • How your dress moves as you twirl in your first dance
    • Parents getting emotional during the ceremony
    • Walking down the aisle
    • You and your bridal party getting into the groove on the dance floor

How could you use videos differently from photos?

While wedding photos play a special role in helping you relive your wedding day to day, our wedding film clients want to see and feel all those things that photos can’t capture, to celebrate and remember their special day more deeply.

Photos are often used:

  • In prints on your wall – that you or your family members will view as a small daily reminder
  • In an album – something that could have a place of prominence on your coffee table that is easy to share with guests, and look through now and then as the years go by
  • As a slideshow online or on your Google TV or Apple TV that will be easy to share the whole day with your friends and your day-to-day
  • As heirlooms your descendants would find in the future

Videos are often used:

  • A powerful anniversary tradition – viewing your video and being brought back to all the wonderful words and motions
  • Sharing with your children and your children’s children, so they can hear the voices of their ancestors and relive your most important day
  • Helping people who couldn’t be there feel like they were there
  • Sharing with people who weren’t invited but who still would enjoy seeing it
  • Posting an overall feeling for it on social media
